A man asserted he had no clue his significant other was claiming to be visually impaired and wheelchair-bound when she misled £1 million in benefits.
John Pomfrey, 60, said he was confused to his better half Christina’s falsehoods which have now handled her in jail.
On Monday, the 65-year-old grandma, from Runcorn, Cheshire, was imprisoned for a long time and eight months after she conceded at a prior hearing to various tallies of misrepresentation, bogus bookkeeping and making or providing articles for use in fakes.
She lied she was absolutely visually impaired and wheelchair-bound, yet reconnaissance by examiners gave her driving, taking a walk independent while perusing a paper and gathering her grandkids from school.
Mr Pomfrey, who wedded Christina in 2005, told the Daily Mail: “Individuals figure I more likely than not recognized what she was up to and where all the cash went, however the response to both is I have no idea.
“She has pulverized my life and I can’t pardon her. She is the most sly lady I have ever known.”
