Police: Teen hit as a man going 75 mph cuts off another driver
Police in South Carolina state a driver attempting to remove another driver during a street rage episode lost control and hit a 13-year-old kid on a walkway who was taking his more youthful sister to the bus station.
Greenville Police Lt. Alan Johnson said the office’s examination discovered Norman Gardner Jr. was driving around 75 mph (120 kph) in morning heavy traffic on a six-path Greenville interstate when the disaster area happened Sept. 18.
Johnson says Gardner was vexed after another driver sounded the horn at him and was speeding to get up to speed with state Highway 291.
Johnson says the kid endured a crushed spirit, neck, pelvis, wrist and the two kneecaps and is confronting a time of recuperation. His sister wasn’t harmed.
Gardner is accused of careless driving. Court records didn’t list a lawyer.
